"What are you running from?" - - "Obesity!"

For a few months now I have been getting into running. Mostly on the treadmill, though I have hit the streets a few times. Would love to find a track; I wonder what the surface is on the one at Flamingo Park on the beach? ***
I can now consistently run a mile in under 9 minutes (8:53 as of today, with a second less being my best time ever). It is definitely a nice complement to lifting weights.
p.s. according to the City of Miami Beach website, Flamingo Park has a 6 lane, 400 meter running track (2 laps=1/2 mile, 4 laps=1 mile).
